Terms of use
Short and clear. Please read them.
1. The service
Shiro is a bookkeeping tool. It records the transactions you confirm and produces accounts from them. Shiro provides bookkeeping tools and information, not professional accounting, legal, tax or financial advice. Shiro does not calculate or file taxes.
2. Eligibility
You must be 18 or older.
3. Your account
Keep your PIN secret. You are responsible for staff you add and the access you give them.
4. Subscription
Shiro has five plans (Limited, Starter, Professional, Business and Enterprise); every account starts on Limited. Access is bought in advance as access days on your plan. Access days are not money, cannot be withdrawn or transferred, and are used one per calendar day. Automatic renewal happens only if you switch it on, and we show the price before charging. After access ends and a short grace period, you can still view and export your records. Payments are processed by licensed payment providers; Shiro never stores card details and does not hold your money.
5. Your records
Your business data belongs to you. You can export it at any time. You confirm every record before it is saved, and you are responsible for its accuracy. Shiro will ask when information is missing but cannot know facts you don't tell it.
6. Your customers
If you store customers' details or send them receipts and reminders, you must do so lawfully and politely. Customers who opt out will not be messaged.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use Shiro for anything unlawful, to harass anyone, or to attack or overload the service.
8. Availability and changes
We work to keep Shiro available and your data safe, including backups. We may change these terms with notice.
9. Liability
To the extent the law allows, Shiro is not liable for losses from decisions made using the information in the app. Nothing here limits your rights under Nigerian consumer protection law.
Draft for review by Nigerian legal counsel before launch.
